Class Description
Join us as we "travel" to India to create the magic of a Kawandi. A Kawandi is a unique hand-stitched quilt that is beautifully scrappy and happy! During the class, you will design and create your own Kawandi-style small placemat while learning the artful stitching techniques of the Siddi women. Constructed from the outside in, the Kawandi is a perfect way to incorporate beautiful scrap fabrics from other projects into a unique artistic quilt that offers a change from our traditional western quilting techniques.
